Predicting bird migration with bird radar
Little is known about the ecological effects of offshore wind farms on migratory birds. That is why Rijkswaterstaat, on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, is conducting research into various aspects of this. This research concerns coastal and sea birds as well as migratory land birds and bird radars are used for this research, among other things. The bird radar is explained in the video below.
