CoP North Sea

The Community of Practice (CoP) North Sea is a network of entrepreneurs, government, research institutions, NGOs and top sectors. The CoP wants to strengthen the balance between energy, nature and food transitions in the North Sea and stimulate a sustainable blue economy. Participants in the CoP network share practical knowledge and experience (including on the digital CoP-platform), stimulate smart innovations and invest in setting up collaborative projects.

Policy frameworks

The North Sea CoP is organized in the context of the North Sea Strategic Agenda 2030, the North Sea Agreement and the North Sea Program 2022-2027. Protection, conservation and restoration of the marine environment is central, guaranteeing sustainable use of the North Sea. As part of this, the North Sea CoP has started a multi-year exploration, with the aim of removing barriers to cooperation on a sustainable blue economy.

The CoP is connected to regular policy processes, so that knowledge and innovation can be exchanged.
